What is proofbooq?
proofbooq™ is an online proofing and shopping cart system powered by RedCart®. Through clickbooq’s partnership with RedCart, we are able to provide you with this hosted service to use in tandem with your clickbooq portfolio site. Using proofbooq’s web-based application, you can easily set up online proofing galleries for your clients, manage your online sales orders, and process payments.
All proofbooq accounts are hosted on our dedicated servers. We offer affordable hosting plans with ample storage and bandwidth.
Who is proofbooq for?
proofbooq is for any photographer or visual artist who needs a way to share images with their clients and sell print and specialty products online. Wedding and event photographers, sports shooters, and studio photographers will find this is an easy way for clients to review their images and place their print orders.
Will proofbooq work in my country?
By default, proofbooq is setup to run in the United States, but it can be easily configured to operate in the following countries:
Changing the operating country allows for country-specific configuration options, such as sales tax, addressing, and payment rules. This includes processing VAT or GST Registration information or charging by euros or pounds.
How much does proofbooq cost?
proofbooq is competitively priced at $59/month or $629/yr with no setup fee. There is no contract and you can cancel at any time. proofbooq is only available as an add-on to your clickbooq portfolio website and is not available for purchase separately. How do I sign up for proofbooq?

Can I use the same domain name that I use for my clickbooq website?
A new domain name is required to use proofbooq. You can not use the same domain name that you currently use for your clickbooq-hosted website. Many users will register a separate domain for use with proofbooq such as "johnsphotographycart.com". clickbooq offers domain registration for $15/yr, but you are free to register your domain with any registrar service, such as GoDaddy.com or Network Solutions.
What forms of payment can proofbooq accept?
You can give your customers the following payment options while checking out with the proofbooq system:
With credit card payments, you have the option to use the Encrypt & Store feature and manually process credit cards with virtually any merchant account or you can use the Authorize.net payment gateway for real-time payment processing.
What photoprocessing labs do I use with proofbooq?
proofbooq is not tied to any one lab - you can use any lab of your choice to fulfill your orders. This gives you the freedom to offer your clients the products, services and quality you want at the price you want.
What do I need in order to use proofbooq?
You will need an image editing application, such as Adobe Photoshop, to resize your images. We have included helpful Photoshop actions and scripts to help you automate the batch processing of your images for your galleries and order fulfillment. You will also need a FTP client to transfer files to your website (programs such as Fetch, Transmit, Cyberduck, AceFTP, etc).
What are the technical requirements to use proofbooq?
Because we install proofbooq for you on our servers, you won't need to worry about hunting down a hosting provider that meets the requirements for running proofbooq's application or maintaining the software. And since proofbooq is a web-based application, it is platform agnostic - all you need is a browser and internet connection. clickbooq will setup your proofbooq account and install the software for you.
Will I need an SSL certificate?
An SSL certificate is an encoded encryption key that is required for processing and storing credit cards online.
If you choose to use our Authorize.net gateway interface or the Encrypt & Store feature to securely store credit card information in the database then you need to have an SSL certificate. The Encrypt & Store feature allows you to capture and securely store credit card information in the database for manually processing payment at a later time.
You do not need an SSL certificate if you are only using PayPal as a payment option to accept credit cards.
The Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is a protocol that allows data to be transferred securely over the web. You can purchase a SSL certificate from clickbooq or from a third party SSL certificate reseller. We sell the following SSL certificate:

Will I need a Dedicated IP Address?
If you will be using an SSL certificate you will need a dedicated IP address. When you purchase an SSL certificate from clickbooq, it will include the annual fee for your own dedicated IP address. If you would like to use a certificate purchased from a third party reseller, there is a $25 annual fee to create a dedicated IP address for your account.
